"The information center will become one of the major public offices of the city. It will be open to staff and veterans of nuclear power plants, residents and guests of the city, including for people with physical disabilities, for pupils of educational institutions of the city and region, representatives of public organizations and mass media, Russian and foreign delegations," - said the Director of Leningrad NPP Vladimir Pereguda. He also said that the building of a public information centre will include information and exhibition halls, a scientific-technical library and reading room, meeting rooms, television Studio, canteen and other offices, auxiliary and technical premises. Responding to the needs of the city of Sosnovy Bor, the management of the Concern "Rosenergoatom" took the decision to increase the number of seats in the concert hall of the 3D visualization center for public information: on the project it can simultaneously accommodate nearly four times more viewers, not 400 (as previously stipulated in technical specifications), and 1500! Thus, hall will be the largest, modern and comfortable concert venue in the citi of Sosnovy Bor for urban and regional events, performances of famous symphony, opera and theater companies of St. Petersburg.
Leningrad NPP (LNPP) is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the Gulf of Finland in Sosnovy Bor, 80 km West of St. Petersburg. Leningrad NPP is the first plant with reactors RBMK-1000 (uranium-graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons).
